Junior Citizens half-day Preschool program is ideal for parents who only need part time care for children 2.5 years to 5 years of age. Our Preschool program offers the same wonderful educational components as our regular programs.

Our Preschool program
is a theme based program that provides a full curriculum and plenty of learning
opportunities for your child. Each
Discovery Area provides new experiences for your child. The Preschool
program is taught by qualified Early Childhood Educators who will provide many
social and interactive activities for your child to experience.
Three’s Program
This program is provided for 2.5 and 3
year old children. The Three’s program focuses on developing a variety of
cognitive and fine motor skills necessary to progress through the coming years.
Each child will receive their own educational binder. The Key components covered
within the Three’s program include:
Pre-writing skills (pencil control and tracing)
1. Letters (taught in Fun Family Phonics order)
2. Numbers (counting, matching
sets)
3. Preschool concepts (colors,
shapes, cutting, matching, opposites)
4. Dynamic, professional teachers!
5. Excellent purpose-built facilities with large classrooms.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM (JK and SK)
Our Pre-K programs are for ages 4 to 5 years. Our goal for Pre-K children is to assist them in reaching their highest level of learning and to prepare them for Kindergarten. We believe in a multi-sensory approach to teaching. We incorporate Fun Family Phonics and Math Works to teach children in a fun and interactive way. Each child will receive an educational binder and workbooks.
The basic skills for reading and writing covered by The Fun Family Phonics Program are:
1. Learning the letter sounds
2. Learning letter formation
3. Blending words
4. Identifying
sounds in words
5. Spelling and identifying familiar words
The Five Strands of Mathematics covered are:
1. Number sense and numeration
2. Spatial Sense and Geometry
3. Patterning
4. Data Management and Probability
5. Measurement
